A successful career may be a cover for the most sad stories. Lolo jones, the champion of the USA and World hurdles, has earned the status he has achieved after years of dedication and endurance. Jones was the sole child in a family of five, and grew up in a very poor environment. She lived with her mother at a basement church and was always moving around. Jones had to attend a new high school each year because of her nomadic background. Jones loved to participate in the track events at Theodore Roosevelt High School, stayed away from her mom to follow her passion. She lived with different families throughout high school, so that she was capable of focusing on her academics. Jones as a cellist in the school's orchestra as well as winner of Gatorade Track and Field Iowa award for athlete of the Year earned her an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award towards the close of high school. Jones was one of the most skilled hurdlers when she first entered the college. At the 2002 NCAA Track and Field Championships in 2002, Jones took home the 100 meter hurdles. Also, she participated on the team finishing second for 100-meter relay. Jones won the NCAA Indoor Hurdles event in 2003 as well as 2004. Jones began training in 2005 when she finished her college studies. That same year she was the winner of her first Torino Memorial Event, while in 2026, she won the Ostrava Track event and Heusden.

Brandt moved to Cape Town South Africa to Auckland New Zealand at the at the end of her teenage years. Brandt was found by local casting agents and was cast in the part of Naevia in the Starz blockbusters Spartacus Blood and Sand and Spartacus Gods of the Arena. She was among the breakout stars for this series, working with Steven S. D Knight & Sam Raimi. Mazikeen was a well-loved comic character in Vertigo/DC as well as in the Netflix hit series Lucifer for six years. Forbes named Lucifer the show with the highest amount of binge-watching of 2021. Brandt can next be seen opposite Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira in the limited series of six episodes Walking Dead spin-off which airs in 2024. Brandt's other Netflix productions include an animated adult show Captain Fall starring Jason Ritter, Anthony Carrigan, and Chris Meloni. This will air in July 2023. Lesley-Ann Brandt is a South African actress born in Cape Town on 2nd December 1981. She is an New Zealand actress with a lot of talents. Lesley Brandt along with the other members of her family moved into Auckland New Zealand, in 1999. Her first job was working in Auckland as a store manager before being elevated to an IT consultant. Lesley was featured in a variety of commercials after doing a couple of modeling projects. The year 2008 was the time she concluded her training in acting. Then, in 2009 she continued her studies using the Meisner method of study. Lesley's first major acting gig was on New Zealand's TV drama Diplomatic Immunity. Lesley Brandt was a guest acting support on the New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. Her next appearance was in This Is Not My Life. The show is based on the real account of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the TV series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She later portrayed the character in the Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
